The University
The teaching of medicine and pharmacy in Lublin can be connected with the opening of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in 1944. Both faculties were educating young people at UMCS for over 5 years until they were separated to form Medical University in 1950. Today our University is proud to bear the name of its first Rector, a surgeon, professor Feliks Skubiszewski and is run by a nephrologists , professor Andrzej Książek, the eleventh Rector of the University.
In 1972 a Faculty of Nursing was created to be followed by Division of Dentistry at the Medical Faculty in 1973. Medical Analytics Division of Faculty of Pharmacy was formed in 1995, English Language Division of Medical Faculty in 2001.
The Medical University of Lublin educated 14 thousand physicians (including over 100 graduates of the English a Language Division), 2.5 thousand dentists, 6.5 thousand pharmacists and 5 thousand nurses.
The University employs about one thousand people, including almost 100 professors, almost 90 habilitated doctors, and almost 700 PhDs. There are 125 sites within the University – chairs, departments and clinics.

The University Employees
The Medical University of Lublin employs 1619 full-time employees (including administrations and services) and 25 part-time employees, including 156 professors and assistant professors. Teaching staff of the Faculty of medicine includes 65 professors.

The applicants are requested to submit the following documents:
1. A completed application form
2 .High School Diploma
3. Motivational letter
4. Photocopy of the applicant's passport
5. Health certificate
6. Five passport photographs 3.5 x 5.5 cm signed on the other side (no head cover please)
All the submitted documents should be originals or certified copies (i.e. originally sealed and signed by the eligible institution/person).
If the documents are not written in English, they must be accompanied by translations (into English or Polish) certified by an approved institution (e.g. the issuing body or a sworn translator).
FEE
MD PROGRAM STUDENTS
The students are obliged to transfer the following payments towards the Medical University of Lublin:
I. Admission fee in amount of €250 – one time, nonrefundable fee - payable within 7 days from the date of delivery of the enrollment decision;
II. Pre-courses fee in amount of €150 for each course (if applicable) – by August 31st
III. Tuition fee for 1st year students - €13500 – payable in two installments:
i. €6000 - by August 31st
ii. €6000 - by February 15th
IV. 4) Tuition fee for 2nd to 6th year students - €11400 –payable in two installments:
i. €5700 -by August 31st
ii. €5700 - by February 15th
DENTISTRY PROGRAM STUDENTS
The students are obliged to transfer the following payments towards the Medical University of Lublin:
