The 6-year program is dedicated to applicants:
● Having IB or EB Diploma-NO entrance examination; grades in biology (high level, obligatory), chemistry (high level), physics (standard level) or mathematics (standard level) are taken into account
● Who got admitted to the Medical Program in Polish
● Having certificates other than IB or EB diplioma- obligatory entrance examination. The examination consists of 100 MCQs in biology (high level, 35 questions), chemistry (high level, 35 questions) and physics (standard level, 30 questions)
The program is dedicated to:
● Applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree who have completed at least 1200 hours of premedical courses (obligatory biology, chemistry and physics) and with MCAT, GAMSAT or UKCAT
The 5-year Dental Program
Having completed the pre-medical part of the program students are eligible to sit for United States Medical Licensing Examination Step 1 (USMLE); and on completion of the clinical part of the program, they are eligible to sit for USMLE Step 2
MD program follows the European standards and the Advanced MD program – the American standards of education and both programs integrate technology, information resources, and dynamic learning experiences needed by the modern clinician.
Basic science and premedical training of the English Division students is provided in forms of lectures, seminars and practical classes carried out but more than 80 departments as well as 5 clinical hospitals of the Medical University of Warsaw and 11 affiliated hospitals.

ADMISSION
● The on-line registration starts at the beginning of March. The entrance exam takes place in May. All information about the dates and places of the examination on the web page.
ACADEMIC YEAR
The academic year is divided into two semesters: winter and summer. The winter semester starts October 1 and lasts till the end of January, with a one-week break at Easter. The examination session takes place in June and the re-take session in September.

The university graduates are well equipped with theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary in modern medical clinical practice receive a medical diploma recognized all over the world.

Premed College
The Medical University of Warsaw Premed College offers a preparation programme for medical school prospective students.
Our Medical School Preparation Programme (MSPP) includes an intensive English language course and a Polish language course followed by biology, anatomy, physics and chemistry preparatory courses.
● Our one-year English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course provides intensive language teaching allowing students to improve their command of English to the level of proficiency required to be successful on the MD programme at the Medical University of Warsaw (IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 90). The course focuses on the four core skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and academic English as well as study skills for the IELTS (or equivalent) examination.
● Our Polish language course provides 4 hours of tuition per week and prepares students to communicate effectively in basic Polish. We also provide an integration programme.
● Our one-year courses in biology, anatomy, physics and chemistry prepare students to succeed in securing a place on the MD programme.
Courses are taught by our University's teachers and guest subject specialists from beyond the University.
Candidates will be admitted to the second year of Premed College on the basis of their score in IELTS (not less than 6.0) and TOEFL (not less than 90). Those candidates who do not hold an IELTS or TOEFL certificate, or who have not reached the required score, shall take an entrance examination in English and will be admitted to the first and second year of the programme respectively, on the basis of their results. Candidates with the highest scores will be admitted within the admission limits established for the academic year 2015/2016:

7th September 2015 – entrance examination for all candidates who do not hold an IELTS or TOEFL certificate, or who have not reached the score required to be admitted to the second year of the programme
10th September 2015 – notification of all admitted candidates
17th September 2015 – deadline for the submission of the down payment confirmation and contract signing for those who have been admitted and would like to participate in the course.

Every application should consist of the following documents:
- application form, filled in (both in a Word file and in PDF)
- a copy of the candidate’s passport
- a confirmation of the down payment for the course (EUR 500)
- (if needed) a filled in letter of acceptance (it will be signed once the candidate has been enrolled for the course)
- for those candidates who would like to start from the second year of the programme and hold an IELTS certificate with the minimum score of 6.0 or a TOEFL certificate with the minimum score of 90 – a copy of the certificate

5.Student is obliged to pay the fee for educational services specified in paragraph 1 to a bank account designated by the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry English Dentistry DivisionPayments are made in Polish zloty according to EUR average rate of the National Polish Bank on the day of payment.
6. The date of payment shall be the date when full amount is entered at the University bank account. The University charges statutory interest on late payments. The condition to allow a Student to attend classes is paying the due fee for educational services.
7. Should the delay in making the payment exceed 30 days, the Dean can cross a Student out from the list of students.
8. University reserves the right to increase the tuition fee described in paragraph 1 in case the program of studies changes causing increase in the cost conducting classes or in case of increase in the costs necessary to start and conduct studies or classes, including costs of preparation and implementation of university development strategy, especially development of research personnel and educational and scientific infrastructure including depreciation and repair. The increase of payment can be made no more than once a year. Fee increase is imposed by means of Rector’s Directive available on the University website http://www.wum.edu.pl/dokumenty/zarzadzenia-rektora and sent to Students before the start of the academic year for which fees have been increased.
9. Regardless of payments for educational services defined in this Agreement, Student is obliged to pay for documents issued by the University, such as:
1)a duplicate of the electronic student’s card in case of loss or theft – 25,5 PLN for each duplicate,
2)a duplicate of the student’s registration book in the case of loss or theft – 6 PLN for each duplicate,
3)additional copy of the diploma translated into one of the following languages: English, French, Spanish, German or Russian - 40 PLN for each copy. University cannot issue more than three copies of the supplement to diploma in English.
10. Student is obliged to make payments to the University bank account.
11. Student is obliged to show confirmation of payment for educational services and other payments on University demand.
Accommodation
The Medical University of Warsaw has at disposal for English Dentistry Division students 12 rooms in the Students` Hostel.
A student dorm room consists of a small kitchen (there are 3 hanging kitchen cabinets, and 2 bedside stands and a cabinet with sink), a bathroom with a shower, bowl sink, and toilet seat. The floor of the room is furnished with two beds (which are connectable), two wardrobes with extensive storage space, 2 shelves, 1 desk, 1 table, a desk phone (receiving calls from outside as well as from the building's own network). Each room has high-speed internet access. Additionally, the building holds a study room with Wi-Fi, which can be used throughout the building. On each floor there is a kitchen equipped with a microwave, an electric stove with oven, as well as several sinks.
Students can also use the common areas for students located in the DS. 2 and these are:
- Club
- Small gym with weights and treadmill
- Computer room
- Lounge
- Ping pong room
THE PRICE: for a single room amounts to 5.500,00 PLN for one semester, a place in a double room amounts to 3.245,00 PLN for one semester.

Transfers
A student may apply for a transfer to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the Medical University of Warsaw from another university. A permission to transfer must be granted by the Dean of the original Faculty. Students with pending failed examinations are not eligible for transfer. A student applying for a transfer to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the Medical University of Warsaw has to submit the following documents:
1. An intention letter stating the reason for the transfer
2. The original transcript of academic results confirming completion of the respective year(s) of studies, subjects taken, number of hours, kind of assessment, grades obtained, and summer clerkship certifications. In some cases, a copy of the curriculum may be requested by the Dean’s Office.
3. A certification (in a form of apostille) if the certificate or diploma was issued by an institution working in an education system of a country which is a party to the Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 on Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (Journal of Laws of 2005, No. 112, item 938)

Decisions concerning transfers are taken by the Dean’s Board. Students transferred from other universities that have different curricula can continue studying at a corresponding year of studies on condition that they make up for all the outstanding work. Individual decisions can be taken by the Dean. Note: In the academic year 2015/2016 only transfers to the second and third year of studies will be considered.
