Hebei University of Chinese Medicine is located in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province. It was established in 1958 and is one of the oldest universities specialized in Chinese medicine of China. The undergraduate majors are Chinese Medicine, Clinical Medicine of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Chinese Massage、Chinese Pharmacy、Nursing、Rehabilitation and Medical Imaging Technology and Chinese Medicine Resources and Development, etc. There are 18 postgraduate programs. Hebei University of Chinese Medicine has 1000 sickbeds, 1 research institute, and 8 affiliated hospitals. The Education Base and Branch of International Acupuncture Proficiency Tests of the World Federation of Acupuncture Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) were set up in Hebei University of Chinese Medicine.
Hebei University of Chinese Medicine started to recruit international students since 1993 and has cultivated over 1000 graduates from more than 30 countries in recent 20 years. Hebei University of Chinese Medicine has established friendly cooperation with universities and research institutes from dozens of countries.
Hebei Province is the birthplace of both ancient Chinese civilization and medical science. The earliest medicine and operative instruments in the world were found in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province.

Why Hebi University of chinese
Hebei University of Chinese Medicine (HUCM) is located in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei Province. Hebei Province is well located with Bohai to the east, Taihang Mountain to its west and it embraces two Municipalities Beijing and Tianjin. The university is only 40 KM to the Shijiazhuang International airport, 290 KM to Beijing Capital International Airport. Travelling between Beijing and Shijiazhuang takes 1 hour by train or 3 hours by bus.
Humanity
Hebei Province is the birthplace of both ancient Chinese civilization and medical science. Many famous Chinese doctors lived in ancient Hebei, including Qin Yueren (Bian Que), the founder of traditional Chinese medicine.
Shijiazhuang is a historical and fashionable city. The earliest medicine and operative instruments in the world were found in this city. Shijiazhuang is also the only metropolis where people speak standard Mandarin, which makes it suitable for foreigners to study and live.

Teaching and Research
Hebei University of Chinese Medicine offers multiple levels of education program’s including undergraduate degree programs, master degree programs, doctoral degree programs, advanced medical studies and Chinese language study programs. Degree programs are offered in Chinese and English, students can choose the study language according to their own needs.
Hebei University of Chinese Medicine is of strong strength of teaching and research with a group of knowledgeable, renowned experts and professors, including 16 specialists enjoyed special government allowances, 14 national outstanding clinical doctors of TCM and so on.

Life in China
Hebei University of Chinese Medicine started to recruit international students since 1993. It is one of the earliest Chinese medical universities which accept international students in China. Since 1996, Hebei University of Chinese Medicine began to provide Chinese language courses for international students which helped them acquire better understandings of China. The international students came from more than 30 countries, including Republic of Korea, America, Canada, Kuwait, India, Nepal, etc.
The University holds a variety of extracurricular activities in their students’ time, such as learning Chinese Chess and Tai-Chi Chuan, organizing talent shows. Students are also organized to visit the historic places and take part in a series of contests, including the annual TV Contest of Chinese Medicine knowledge, Official Spring Festival Gala of TV Station, and Chinese Language Skills and Talent Competition.

Scholarships
To encourage students to study hard, obey the rules and laws, becoming qualified professionals, Hebei University of Chinese Medicine set up international student’s scholarships ranging from 1,000 to 15,000 RMB.
Accommodation
The University provides en-suite international hostels with beddings, desks, air conditioners and telephones. Each room can accommodate 1 or 2 students. The hostel provides hot water and washing machine which the students can use for free.
Accommodation Fees
For long-term program students, the accommodation fee is 5,000 RMB per room per semester. For short-term program students, the accommodation fee is 60 RMB per room per day.
The students can dine in the school canteen or in restaurants, at their own expense.
Food costs around 600 RMB per month.
